Just an update, not only is it potentially back on, it's back on because CP3 directly asked for it. So if it falls apart...

After superstar Chris Paul injected his influence to accelerate talks, the Los Angeles Clippers are searching for ownership approval to complete a blockbuster deal to bring Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers and forward Kevin Garnett to L.A., league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Clippers management planned to huddle with owner Donald Sterling on Wednesday night in Los Angeles to get his approval and move on Thursday to finalize an agreement with the Celtics, sources said. Sterling met with Clippers coaching candidate Brian Shaw, an Indiana Pacers assistant coach, on Wednesday night. The Clippers' trade talks with the Celtics appears to be coming down to Donald Sterling. …

The Clippers will send center DeAndre Jordan and two first-round draft picks to the Celtics in the deal, league sources said.

I don't get this all that much from the Clippers/CP3's point of view, to be honest.

Garnett has what? One year left? So maybe they get one year of him to make a run (and I don't think that puts them in the Finals at all).

Then they have a gaping hole at Center with no money to sign one even with Jordan and Garnett off the books. They would have to make some more moves to clear salary.

shite like this is why I hated Paul when he demanded out.

His insistence on having direct influence over personnel moves pissed me off, mainly in that he demanded Collison be shipped out so that the front office could show loyalty to him instead of keeping a potential successor on the roster.
