Hell, I actually don't mind that call as much. I thought they were trying to give him a pitch to just swing away and they weren't really doing that. They were allowing him to try and advance the runner by putting him in motion and allow him to attempt to get a hit when the count was in his favor. It did take a miraculous turn by the second baseman to turn the DP.
