Maybe you should have tried harder in school so would be able to make a trip to omaha when you got older. Responsibility doesnt start when you get married and have kids. It starts long before that.

Why don't you just say your wife said you WOULD NOT go...instead of TRYING to use the responsibility/kids EXCUSE!
