I'm getting to the point that I don't care anymore where kids go. I personally can't see why the Louisiana kids would not go to LSU, but maybe I was raised differently. Seems like every kid in this state would choose us cause we are the home school and we are always elite. What the hell are these Louisiana parents teaching their kids? My dad would bitch slap me if I didn't jump on an LSU offer! I think it's weird to grow up here in Louisiana and go to an Alabama or other school with a scholorahip to LSU. These recruits grew up in the golden days too which makes even less sense! Where is the state pride?

You're looking at it from a fans perspective, not a recruits perspective. Even so, it's extremely common for a kid to leave the state for college, whether they're an athlete or not

I understand your view, but as I've stated many times before on this board, when you are a recruit or the parents of a recruit, you cannot look at things thru the eyes of a fan. There are so many other variables that come into play! In the end my son did choose LSU, but honestly I did encourage him to explore ALL options and schools! It has to be a good fit all the way around. You can't make a choice like that based simply off of "state pride."
