Is that supposed to be a surprise or what?

PS3 already has Day 1 Digital downloads for big titles available to DL at midnight like Far Cry 3, AC3, and all EA Sports titles were.

PS3 with a PS+ subscription already uses the cloud to check and download system and game updates even when the console is off.

PS3 already allows you to download a game and play it while it downloads (TLOU debuts this tonight).

I guess MS is catching up?

I feel like a Hodor who just started reading GoT. Just read the whole thread. Very good read, and very enlightening. I'd say before reading that I was firmly believeing in the current system. I'll be getting both consoles but the ps4 first bc that's where my buddies will be. As someone said earlier, it's very forward thinking and does make a lot of sense. I'm all for cheaper games at release. I was turned off by microsofts approach but after reading that it makes perfect sense. I'd like to see more incentives to the digital games at launch. Maybe a 10% discount to encourage it over the physical disc as a way of easing people into it and the more and more they go that route we can start to see the benefit of the people who make the games get the money mor often, thus driving down the price of games in the future. I know I know I'm restating what's been said but if more people were educated we could start to see some benefits.
