we ended up getting a couple of first round picks in return for Ricky when he was traded to Miami.
picking in the Dolphins spot at #25 in 2002, we got Charles Grant. Say what you will about his last few years in N.O. but he got off to a good start notching a few double digit sack totals to start out with. I don't think he did in his rookie year though...
then after Williams gained over 1500 yards for Miami in 2002, we ended taking their first round pick again. The pick was some conditional type of thing as you might imagine.
but... the Saints picked Jonathon Sullivan at #6 in the 2003 draft. They traded both the #17 and #18 picks to the Cardinals to move up to take his fat arse.

Yeah, but it doesn't really make up for it.
