Only two more days till my trek to the farm begins for the first time. Anything I should know, from people who have been before? If you want to link up, best way would be to look for the Icelandic flag during of monster and men. Other than that, our rage pole with be with toad at the top (from Mario). Hope to see some of y'all out there.

Get ready to wait up to 8 hours in line. Get ready for it to be hotter than hell. Hope you're in shape for walking about 5 miles a day

Then the only advice I have is to make big ice.

To get in, not for each stage, right? I'm fine with that. Weather is calling for 85ish during the days and 60 at night. Sounds good to me. Born and raised in the south so used to the heat. 5 miles is nothing

Depending on what time you enter the festival grounds, they have vastly improved the wait time. Last yr went in on Thu morning and had a 30 min wait. Also was not to far from Centeroo, 10 min walk max.

I'll give you the heat though, drink plenty of water during the day. I honestly drink almost all water till about 4-5 in the late afternoon, then will start on the alcohol. Also if you camp in a tent, be prepared to woken up by 7am with the sun/ heat.

Yeah, I love camping so I know how it gets when the sun hits your tent in the morning. I don't plan on sleeping much anyways though. Well probably get there around 6 on wednesday. Leaving Atlanta at 3.

Reporting for duty!
Second year in a row for me, leaving wed morning bright and early with about 20 other friends, can't wait

Our campsite will be flying an LSU rebel flag, an LSU American flag, and a US soccer flag, if anyone sees it come say hey and grab a cold one from us. Happy Roo to all

You will have a blast. Please drink a shitload of water, a friend of mine passed out from the heat one afternoon. Scared the shite out of all of us.

I would make everyone in your group chug at least a bottle before walking to the grounds every day. It is easy to forget to stay hydrated with all the chemicals usually ingested throughout the day.

You're going to have a blast man, just use your head. staying hydrated is the main thing, you will be sweating more than you think, and if you are consuming any alcohol then water will be even more vital to you.
That being said, the walking becomes an afterthought after the first day, I love walking around, checking out stuff I've never seen before, vendors, meeting and talking to ppl etc..
The wait to get into Centeroo never exceeded 10 mins last year, and I'd say 70% of the time there was no wait at all.
We are leaving wed morning and arriving wed evening, we did this last year and faced minimum traffic, nothing even reemotely comparable to the thursday traffic.
Hope this helps

I went to Bonnaroo 2006,2007, and 2009. Each year you could see it progressively getting more and more mainstream, along with the crowd getting younger and younger.

I am not sure if I'll ever go back, but one thing that sets Bonnaroo apart from other festivals is the epic late nights. You can catch great music til 8 in the morning. Insanity.

Standout shows for me at Bonnaroo:

06- Radiohead, Beck, Oysterhead, My Morning Jacket
07- Govt Mule (guests Bob Weir and John Paul Jones), The White Stripes, DJ Shadow, The Police, SCI, Ziggy Marley
09- Phish, Beastie Boys, Galactic
