Process for getting baseball season tickets?

I'm thinking about trying to get season tickets for baseball but I am clueless as to how to get them. I'd assume its pretty tough but not nearly as expensive as football.
What do I need to do to try to get this accomplished?

I was on the waiting list for 3 years at the OLD Box and it depends on TAF donations. Back then I was giving 50 times more than I can give now and it still was a long process.
Pay $10 to get on the list and empty your pockets and bank account to TAF.
