Lie to Chad Ford maybe he doesn't print your lie next time, lie to some Pelicans blogger and so what if he never takes you seriously again?

In this day of twitter and blogs, you really can't take that stance anymore. Breaking news comes from small "news sources" now and then gets picked up by people like the AP, etc.

However, the agent is in Croatia. Maybe he doesn't realize that or doens't know what twitter is.

Or McNamara is the first media type to contact him after the decision was made. Who knows?

It sounds definitive to me. I won't think about him anymore until the 17th.

This is simplistic.

I could just write a script to tweet out that each player will be traded today, one tweet per player. I'll be right eventually, but there is no real information there.

Credibility does matter. What some consider to convey credibility is odd to me, but it does matter.

When the Pelicans stuff was being put out well before Yahoo issued a strangely familiar post on the subject, commenters were saying their sources at Adidas told them for sure that it would not be Pelicans and had these cloak and dagger stories as to why they knew but couldn't say more. These were believed more than a post with a ton of evidence (that maintained skepticism, mind you), for some reason.

I can't tell you why.

While the basic point has merit, I think a conspiracy to raise Saric's draft stock having McNamara as its lynch pin is insane.

The agent just not managing the message because there is nothing to be gained (since he'd be withdrawing) makes the most sense to me in light of the financial considerations.
