SFTD was the perfect album, and perfect time to be a QOTSA fan. You had Grohl on drums, Oliveri on bass, and cameos vocals by Lanegan once again.

There were rumors that Oliveri was supposed to make his way back in the band again. They were a different (more raw stoner rock) band with him in it.
