You can absolutely just pick it back up with season three. The half minute or so refresher they ran before last nights episode is all you will most likely need for this new season.

WHOA, glad I looked here today.

At first I was like 'oh great another case revolving around another dead teenage girl' but they managed to go full out Silence of the Lambs with this new season.
The reason I liked this show is cause it was more of a thriller than a police procedural but this new season has really kicked up the thriller aspect a notch or two.

I stopped after season 1 pissed me off. Can you just pick up with season 3?
Yes. Completely new case and cast of people outside Holder and Linden it seems.
I really, really thought last night was superb.

Now I know why I thought the show was so good last night. I was just reading the avclub's review of the show the author was talking about how the show is taking on an even darker tone and mentioned that the 2nd hour was directed by the guy who made this 90s movie I like that stars Peter Greene. I'm 3/4 of the way through and loving this episode. God I hope people watch this show. Me liking a tv series is like a death wish on a series.

Well it was cancelled and brought back to life. I got burned on Alcatraz and the river. The River pissed me off cause it just started getting weird.

So Linden and her old partner had an affair, right?

I interpreted that as: that specific case was so insane it damn near ruined our marriage. I forgave him, but stay the frick away and don't even think about rehashing up this old shite again.

I definitely thought it was an affair.

I initially just assumed it was an affair, but after your comment I could see the case just ruining their lives being a possibility too.

I really enjoyed that episode. Going to stick with it this season I think.

I don't think so. As obsessed as Linden gets (to the point of full on breakdowns) I assumed it was because he probably got sucked into that with her and made things really shitty in his home life.
Finally got to watch the episode a little bit ago. Definitely a solid start to the season. This Bullet kid is a little annoying but I'm hoping she tones down the overdramatic acting a bit as the season progresses. Pretty fricked up that she heard the screams of what we're pretty sure is her friend right before being raped.
And that shot of Linden standing at the edge of the bog with a TON of bodies. All based on the drawing his son couldn't stop drawing.

Exactly how I took it too.
Now excuse me, The Rock is on Starz.

Great Firefly reference. Holder's slam piece has aged like wine.

Dude I was racking my brain trying to figure out what I had seen her in. I even went to IMDB and couldnt figure it out. :cheer: I clearly need to rewatch Firefly. Man, she has aged good. Looking even better.
Took me a minute to figure out the good cop was the mechanic from Battlestar Galactica. I'm a little slow.

Holder's Serenity tattoo didn't give you a hint?
I just watched an episode of Firefly the other day, otherwise I might not have put that one together either.
