Both their second and third goals were rookie mistakes by the defenders, especially on the third by Castillo. You can't let players of Germany's caliber cut inside and take open shots from 20 out. In the Mls or concacaf it might be a low percentage shot but not for europes best. Make them beat you down the outside, send in a good cross, and have another player be in position for a good finish

What a turnaround of a game. Having Bradley in the middle and guys that can provide width and service into Jozy makes this a night and day team.

Evans actually played well when tested and provided two nice balls into Jozy within the first 10 minutes.

Jozy was making great runs, was clinical on his finish and had great hold up play on both of Deuce's goals. Outstanding game by him.

Deuce

Bradley and Jones played with a great understanding of where each other should be.

Gonzo had another mental error on the German corner and allowed an open header. He has been solid but needs to stop making these lapses that cost us goals.

Besler played solidly

Beasley got beaten pretty badly for the Shurrle miss in the first half. He got full on tackled by Klose for that first miss. Not his best game

Castillo is awful. I'm sorry but he might be my least favorite MNT player. He got beaten like a drum by Sam(?) over and over. One play Sam cut inside and beat him by at least 10 yards in just a few steps. Awful

Would have liked to have seen more Fab but he provides that width with nice pace out there that we need. Also made a few nice runs forward and had that one opportunity in the box.

Zusi's ball to Jozy was excellent. Again I would much rather Landon out there but Zusi will be a great depth provider next summer.

On a general note, I would like to see better service on our corners. Seems like the first defender is clearing the ball way too often.

ETA: And Boyd. I like his potential but man he has a long way to go. We are pretty thin up top if he is our second choice target forward type. He is still very raw. He got played into the box on his left foot with a good ball. Took 4 too many touches to the touch line. Then cut back in on his right before missing badly. Then just not being situationally aware at the end when your captain is telling you to go sit at the flag with the ball is inexcusable
