I've never been but have to go in September for a wedding. Wife(well will be in 2 weeks) is the maid of honor so I will have some spare time to myself while they are doing whatever the hell they do. So what should I do? Not bringing the boat as its a deep V for saltwater fishing and I don't want to put it in a lake I don't know so any fishing will be banking it

They have several guides on the lake. A pretty nice golf course. That's about all I got.

You say it likes it's something you don't wanna do?

We've caught sacalait off boat dock under light before at night, also caught bass on a c-rig and Texas rig off the rocks next to the bridge at night. Never tried during the day.

ETA also play golf

No shite. I've had some awesome times fishing TB.

Caught 100 plus crappie hijacking someones pontoon boat tied up on the Tejas side one January.

It's a fun lake to fish, I'd love to do it again next time I get down that way.

You can catch bass pretty much anywhere. Spinnerbaits, texas rigged brush hogs, rattle traps, and topwaters will all work. May not end up with much size, but you will be able to catch bass. Toledo is a lot of fun, and if you get a guide to take you out I'm sure you'd have a blast.

ETA: May not catch much size off the bank is what I meant. There are some HAWGS in there!

JT Thompson "Living the Dream".

If we are out there that weekend you can jump in the boat with us. My buddy is a guide also on the lake, I'll just tell him you're a friend of mine.
More than likely it will be night fishing that time of year...

We usually fish around Pendleton Bridge.

Don't forget to say that was a two day total or that it was you and a friend since the limit is 50.

I appreciate the thought man and if it works out it will be badass, if there isn't room and you are up there for the weekend we will empty a few cans

shite, we were 18, this was the early 80's and I'm not sure there was a limit then. We were there two nights, fished a day and a half.

i'm a saltwater person myself, but that lake is a lot of fun. i wouldn't mind having a camp up there one day.

maybe you could rent a boat for a day?
