I've been extremely lucky. Out of all of my stock and ETF transactions I've only "lost" money on one.
Where I really bang my head is not knowing when to get out. I'll be up 20% in 3 months on an investment and then it takes a nose dive. I still come out ahead but if I would have sold earlier I would have been golden.
