played the free chapter and enjoyed it. Heard the entire series (ep) was pretty linear. Its not like you can go anywhere you want. Seemed kinda arcade-y. Click this point there.
>$10 its a good buy IMO

TellTale's Walking Dead game is awesome but just be aware of what you are getting into. It's not Left 4 Dead. It's a story driven, point and click adventure game with light (very light) action pieces sprinkled throughout.
Also, the game follows the graphic novel both in content and style rather than the TV show. However, you don't have to be familiar with The Walking Dead to enjoy it.
It's broken up into 5 episodes and I beat one each night (1 - 2 hours a piece) until I completed it. The format felt perfect for this, like watching a good TV episode, since each one ends at a nice stopping point.
For $4.06, the current running average, it's a steal.
(Avoid spoilers for it if you can.)

thanks for the input
yeah, i understand its not an action shooter, more of a story driven game where you make choices.
but at $4.06 this has got to be qualtiy entertainment for the price. So i agree with you on that front.

The TellTale Walking Dead Game was one of my favorite games last year. Really neat how much you will focus on the story and relationships when non-stop action and high-end graphics aren't the focus.

Never heard of these before. Saw it was getting a ton of love on slickdeals, so checked it out:
Awesomenauts [steampowered.com] RRP $9.99
Inferno [steampowered.com] RRP $9.99
Thomas Was Alone [steampowered.com] RRP $9.99
Capsized [steampowered.com] RRP $9.99
Dear Esther [steampowered.com] RRP $9.99
Beat The Average (currently ~$5) for
Hotline Miami [steampowered.com] RRP $9.99
Proteus [steampowered.com] RRP $9.99
Got them all for $5.70. Been considering Hotline Miami for $10 on Steam for a while, so that was a great deal. Will definitely play Capsized, Awesomenauts, and Thomas Was Alone. Not that interested in the others.

No problem!
I just wanted to be certain because this board feels FPS-centric.
I loved the game so much because you get to make hard decisions about who lives, who dies, who to ally with, what to do when someone is bitten, etc.
It was just all very refreshing when nearly every other zombie game is about maximizing headshots.
It's certainly not a perfect game, but once it was over, it affected me in a way few games have.
If you pick it up and play through it please post some thoughts. I'd like hearing impressions and seeing some discussion about it.

agree with all of this. one of my favorite things i've played in the past yr along with nba2k13.
i played it on my phone though (don't have ipad, yes b/c i'm a poor) so i highly suggest wifi. it eats up data.
