Physically Brees plays the game very well despite being a shorter QB. He also has a very good mind for running the offense.
Why would Jamarcus being tall affect his ability to learn from Brees?

Well he has come out and said he would like to go and sit behind a top starting QB at first.
Considering the issues he had as a young starter and his time away from football I think it is a wise move.
Another option would be for him to join a team where the starter is in question. Let him come in and compete for a job.
Simply handing him the keys until he proves himself could be a bad idea.
