The Giants just had some concerns about his back after he was injured during the Alabama game. While on that subject I should remind all that he played the rest of the year with a bulging disk in his back

They sent him back to LSU so they could look at him and basically give him a second opinion and it was the opinion of the LSU staff and the Giants staff that he was good to go with his back. The injury that he sustained and also part of a defect from Chase growing to fast between his 8th and 9th grade years. He grew 6" with in 1 year.

They said a lot of football players play with this type of injury or should I now say defect. LSU doctors and trainers cleared him and the Giants gave him a call back up and said he was good to go. If the Giants would not have signed him he was heading up to the Steelers and they wanted to sign him badly.
