lightening took out my septic tank pump wiring great start to memorial weekend

I used my ob redneck ingenuity to fix it for $12 I stead of the $700 I was quoted.

I even managed to not electricute myself but man do I stink bath time.

Serious question: Why do yall have to have a septic tank pump? Don't you have field beds for septic tanks? And where do yall pump this crap to? Never heard of needing a home septic tank pump before. Our septic tanks just drain out into the field beds.
