Quite an under appreciated accomplishment by this team. Dominant is the only word. Who is responsible for this juggernaut ?
Jeff Willis. Program has been dominant since he has been there, he has had multiple offers to coach at D1 schools but he is the AD and Head Coach at LSUE and he is comfortable where he is at.
Louisiana is such a hotbed for talent and the JUCO route makes sense for a lot of different types of kids. Why would you sit the bench at a big time school when you can play for 1 or 2 years at a well ran program like LSUE and transfer to play somewhere like LSU immediately.
I was part of Willis' first recruiting class back in '03. We finished third at the WS in '04 and the class underneath me won it all for the first time in '06.

I played under Willis his 1st season (03). I was actually recruited by the former coach Russo. I transferred to LSU after 1 season to just concentrate on school.
