Hi ProjectP...what did I do now?
You happened to be the last post in the thread. I don't care enough about you to seek out your posts and respond to them.

Why are you having trouble reading right now? What happened?
Because there are idiots in this thread that are acting like their house just burned down because a kid that's take 9 years to get eligible said he might not come to LSU.

Guy is supposed to be the next D Bowe I'm guessin with his size is why all these people are freakin out. But hell with all the potential WR prospects LSU has comin up from a list I saw the other day, I don't think Williams will be missed at all.

I just want us to get over the hump...we're #2 in the land...even when we beat everyone we play, it's still not enough...I want prospects like this on our side just to leave no doubt going forward. Bama can't take us when you add in guys like Quille to our side.
I want to be #1...I want this kid to know how important it is to LSU and their fans that he ends up here and helps us win it all.

let me call every juco in america and ask and I'll get back with you.
How about you answer my question now, which is relevant to the dumbass comparison you tried to make between two kids that were situations for two different reasons.

Potentially not getting an eventual signature from DQ, which looks like more of a real possibility now that he's reneged, is a very big deal...if you want LSU to be successful on the field, of course.
If you want to shite your pants over potentials and possibilities months before signing a recruit then you have some stressful times ahead when real problems arise.

The chances of Williams signing with LSU have not changed because he decided to re-open his recruitment in the middle of May.

Get on that. I'll be anxiously awaiting the results of your survey.
And where each kid went to high school has no bearing on how long it takes to graduate from junior college.

Wrong. Now we have to battle a kids' ego and him admitting that de-committing was a mistake. From his perspective.
If you got job offers from 3 respectable jobs and there wasn't all that much to differentiate between them, than you chose 1, than you changed your mind, it'd be harder for that 1 job to eventually end up with you because you have to walk through that door and admit a mistake.

I have 4 kids...3 are 2 years old or less...I'll be fine handling the stress. And I haven't shite my pants for weeks.

I disagree, and so do many, many other people. It was more promising when we was committed than it is now that he's not committed...pretty standard stuff here, I think.

We would have to battle for his signature if he was still committed.

Recruiting isn't like being offered a job. Committing isn't like accepting a job. LSU will continue to push to get Williams signature, so this whole admitting a mistake scenario is nonsense.
Decommits and re-commits happen every year in recruiting.

Not the people that actually cover recruiting.

The chances of him signing are the exact same whether he says he's committed right now or if he says he is open. If he was still committed to LSU he could still be recruited by and sign with another school. Just like he can still be recruited by and sign with LSU now that he is open.
This changes almost nothing when it comes to competing for his signature.

yeah thats just not true. he may still sign with lsu but the chances of him doing so most certainly changed.

Don't know what to tell you, man. I don't professionally cover this stuff, but it seems pretty obvious that we're AT LEAST going to have to put in more work and resources towards eventually securing this particular recruit's signature since he's now officially decommitted from us and has publicly stated that he's like to take visits and consider his options.

Not really. Maybe the confidence level you have that he will sign with LSU has changed, but the actual chance that he signs with LSU doesn't change because of his commitment status in mid-May.
Posted on 5/22/13 at 10:03 am to EarthwormJim
i mean yes it does. there really isnt any question about it. the kid was in love with lsu and now something has changed. you can pretend the chances he winds up at lsu havent changed but that doesnt make it true. lsu may still be the favorite, but not as much as they once were. to argue that is just dumb.

He wants that car he was promised, man.
