The union didn't run Hostess to the ground.
Additionally, union membership as a percentage of the workforce in this country is at an all time low, so blaming unions is, at best, a dishonest tactic.

A business can survive a union
No business can survive both. That'd be the case with hostess. The amount hostess was on the hook for in union pensions was absurd
