So I am confused what exactly happened on the show.

Spoilers

The owner of R&Os went on Mystery Diners because he thought his relatives were chasing off non family employees. His morbidly obese neice treated a new hire like shite, telling her that she looked like a stripper and accusing her of sleeping with the owner. The show sent a fake customer in there to mess with the neice to see how she would react. When the fake customer told the neice that he didn't want mayo on his poboy, she went into the kitch and rubbed her fat, sweaty boobs on his new poboy.

The whole thing seemed rather staged, especially when the owner confronted his neice. Even if it was staged, it seemed pretty stupid to put your business on this show. Its not like R&Os isn't a well known place. I just don't see why a business owner would allow such bad press to be aired.

Looks like the word is getting out about the Mystery Diners episode:

But not after seeing recent Mystery Diners episode where a bitchy morbidly obese waitress was fired--then rehired!--after (among many other things--including body slamming a new staffer and being rude to guests) she was filmed laughing manically as she rubbed her chest with a sandwich bun to get even with a customer she didn't like.

After watching Mystery Diners, this is one place that has been removed from my list of restaurants to visit in New Orleans.

Dee Dee allowed her toxic behavior to manifest itself as unsafe food handling.

Physically assaulting a new employee, rubbing a customer's sandwich bread on her breast and that was what they were able to catch on video. She should not have been allowed to come back.

Nepotism is going to be the downfall of this restaurant.

After viewing the May 2013 episode of Mystery Diners I cannot imagine why ANYONE would want to go there to eat. There is a plethora of great family run Poboy / seafood shops in The New Orleans metro area, so pick one with a better reputation and better food to spend your hard earned money with. Examples...Parkway Bakery, Parisols, Casamento's etc.

Such a shame as it is by far my favorite RB poboy. Hopefully my wife will forget we taped it and not watch it.

As far as New Orleans Food and Spirits next door, go for lunch on Thursday and get there when they open. The white beans and rabbit special on Thursday is incredible, but it you get there late they run out
