Alot of people may have missed this. I can understand it because people don't follow the Astros as much as others and can only base their judgments off the cover of the book.
Luhnow is one of the best scout/personnel men in baseball. For the past year or so, he was given absolute shite to work with thanks to Crane. He's made ALOT of moves. Some may benefit, some may not.
But After working with an organization like the Cardinals, I don't think it would be in his work ethic to take a job just to tank. The guy kills it in the scouting department. It shows in St. Louis.
Guy is doing top notch work as far as building the farm system. They are up 16-17 spots in just two years as far as that goes.
The minor league affiliates are all in 1st and 2nd place and the AA pitching right now is beastly.
It's all just a matter of time, IMO. I can see how it looks despicable at the moment, but this was the only option the Astros had. Wasting money on middle of the road FAs just to appease fans will get you absolutely nowhere.

That lack of information sure doesn't stop them from having a strong opinion on the matter. But I agree with you. They're doing all they can with the mess they've inherited. There is a plan and thus far, they've stuck to it. As long as they do that, I'm on board and waiting patiently for the payoff
