Roy Williams loses to Bill Self. Water is still wet.

Wiggins is scared of the pressure.
Doesn't want to go to summer school and compete early.

Doesn't want to be the guy to help carry his parent's alma mater to new levels.
Doesn't want to play in the pressure cooker that is Lexington and chase history.
He chose the school that does a terrible job of developing NBA talent, doesn't fit his playing style, and will most likely flame out of the tournament as usual.

turns out that Selby and Henry weren't that good at basketball
i just had this huge post typed out defending self's guys in the nba. didn't post it because it was pretty whiney and gay. however, the sentence "we found out that selby and xavier henry just weren't good at the sport" was a big hitting point.
I guess Julian Wright/Brandon Rush were also guys who werent "good enough" ?
They were big time talents coming out of HS.

They were lottery picks.
I give credit to Self for disguising how terrible Julian Wright to get him drafted that high.
Also he has taken multiple big men that were rated in the 25-50 range and developed them into lottery picks. Where recruits rated in the same range that have signed with teams like Kentucky and UNC wont sniff the lottery.

Anybody surprised that he picked Kansas is fricking retarded. Kentucky and Florida State were excellent options I could have seen him pick, but he is going to one of the best basketball programs in the country, he'll probably be the best player on the team, and he might win a championship this year. If you're shocked he picked Kansas, you're dumb.

julian wright definitely sucks. you are not going to find a single kansas fan (or anyone else on the planet) defend his basketball ability. many claim his departure as a catalyst to the national championship and were happy about it in 2007 when he left. we all love the guy, but it was clear.
brandon rush is fricking good. he and darrel arthur have both been incredibly unlucky injury wise. both good players.
mclemore was like the 50th recruit out of HS. turns out he was actually better than like all of the guys in front of him. im sure self and the staff helped him grow a lot, but in reality, he was just better than people thought out of high school and he was probably gonna be this good at any of the top programs.
the whole devloping nba players thing is pretty stupid IYAM. you develop guys who shouldnt be in the nba into nba draft picks and then get penalized for them not being nba players? you get obvious nba guys like john wall, cousins, noel, brad beal, etc... (and now wiggins) and people act like you are developing nba talent? retarded.
example: bill self helped get cole aldrich drafted in the goddamn nba lottery by "developing him." he had nothing to do with anything after that. bill self was so good at coaching that he made people think cole aldrich was a lottery pick. if you look at it like that, you evaluate this whole nba development thing differently.

Nobody is saying they're surprised because it's Kansas or that Kansas doesn't have anything worthwhile for Wiggins.
People are surprised that it's Kansas because they were late coming in with him vs the other ones.
People who can't tell the difference are dumb.

you guys sure are talking a lot about kansas for how little you know about them
i predict very very few shots for ku seniors next year but that's just a hunch
Do you see me bitching? Heck, because of Wiggins' decision, UF has a CHANCE in the SEC next year against UK.
I am a die-hard Wiggins fan now, and will be following him throughout next year. Hopefully, his play speaks as a big "frick you" to all the idiots on twitter today.
Posted on 5/14/13 at 1:19 pm to rockchlkjayhku11
I dot get why people are bashing him for going to Kansas, unless its just jealousy. KU is one of the best programs in the NCAA. I'm looking forward to seeing him play in person next season.

There u go RT @AdamHimmelsbach: told by source that Wiggins saw the now-deleted vine video associated w/Harrison twins, & he didn't like it.

no one is actually bashing him besides a couple idiots on twitter and shite which would have happened no matter where he went. some people are surprised, apparently but im not sure why.
it's been probably a 25% chance for the 4 schools for a long while and in the past few days it probably moved close to 50/50 between fsu and kansas, so it's nothing shocking to anyone remotely keeping up.

This is interesting
I know the Harrison twins didn't necessarily "recruit" him very hard when they were at the Jordan Brand Classic together. Basically took the attitude that they were happy with the group that had already committed and that if he wanted to come along for the ride that was cool but if he didn't that was cool too.
I'm not sure what video they're referencing though.

One of the twins friends (?) basically said frick Wiggins and that UK didn't need him.

What was the video?
It was a video of the Harrison twins in a car with their friends and they got to talking about Wiggins and someone in the car said "F*** Andrew Wiggins". Thought to be one of the Harrisons (Andrew presumably), then tweeted it was one of their friends that said it before deleting the video altogether

There's also an interview with Andrew Harrison where he states that he didn't recruit Wiggins that hard because he wanted him to do his own thing and commit where he wanted since Harrison had people doing the same thing to him.
I would agree with him on that aspect. I would get annoyed with other people trying to recruit me to their school

Are you sure about that? Looks like bad damage control to me.
