You can buy a brand new 870 express (what that gun used to be) for a little over $300 at academy and then do what you want to it if you want to tacticool it.

A youth model will come with a short barrel like that.

ETA: Just found out they make a full size with an 18" barrel. That'd be the route to go for a home defense gun IMO. You could put whatever stock you want on it after that. I'm not sure how much they're going for since the craze. Forgot about that factor.

IMHO you shouldn't burn your money on that gun. It's overpriced for what it is and IMO worthless anyway with that stupid arse pistol grip stock and vertical pump handle.

This is the exact 870 I have for home defense. It's basic as hell but will do what I need it to do when I need it. 5 rounds of 00 Buck helps me sleep well at night.
