Going to NYC soon and staying at the Marriott in Times Square. I'm curious if anyone has any recommendations for any restaurants around the area or around NYC. Looking to stay away from the typical chains and get some good food. I definitely want to stop by Little Italy.
you realize there are thousands of restaurants...in midtown alone. little italy is a start, but they are all the same. basically just walk up to one and enjoy. Don Nico is one of my favorites because it's got a very nice patio out back and it's not overly expensive at all.
but give us a few other types of food you want so we can specify.

I would love to have recommendations for casual meals in NYC. My daughter, sister, niece and I are going in June.
We are not interested in high end and/or fancy restaurants. Just some places with good food that we can enjoy quickly so we can get back to being tourists.
I'm thinking Italian, pizza, chinese, nothing too exotic as my daughter is kind of picky.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

not a huge fan.
I guess I'm biased though. I'd rather take the subway up to BX and go to the real Little Italy on Arthur Avenue. Roberto's
