I think Les is really selling the 3 year and NFL timeline. This all makes sense to me at the WR position, but hopefully the DL and OL don't suffer. Is there any chance one of these cats may want to play DB?

Noil possibly could..Don't know about the other ones

we'll probably only return diarse, dural, leslie, peterson and spears at wr.
We needed someone who could play right away because 3 of the listed WRs won't be ready imo

Williams will be the #1 guy as soon as he steps on campus. He's an incredible talent

Out of what's left:
Dupre/Noil/Quinn
Blacknall
Sims

A&M took 6 WR's this year didnt they. Why not us? Then we wont have to recruit many receivers for a couple years and it will give more spots for other positions. We should take the receivers this year if they are willing to come right now. Its rare to have this many gifted receivers wanting to go to LSU

Anybody know the amount of talent at WR for the 15 & 16 class? WR has been one of the weakest positions on the team in terms of solid depth. There's a load of talent this year, and we need to take advantage. I say we take 6

quote:Malachi is much more of a deep threat than Quinn. Quinn actually isn't built as a deep threat. He's more of a guy that can work the middle of the field and has fly trap hands.

I'll play along...
Different offenses would be a valid argument. LSU should be loading up on defense and offensive line.

Les is taking 6 DBs in 2014? Is he also losing 5 DBs?
If so, 12 scollies going to WR and DB? Is that normal?
Posted on 5/11/13 at 2:57 pm to Dodd
No its not normal, and I know this is said every year.. but I seriously doubt we can sign 25 for '14.

size, unfamiliarity with the postion, numbers, lack of creative way to get him the ball

Completely agree with his rundown and his prediction. I think his class makes the most sense both from a plying standpoint and numbers standpoint.
