yeah but "jump the shark" implies they are doing some off the wall bullshite in a desperate attempt to keep people interested. i haven't noticed anything like that.

I sort of clarified that I didn't exactly mean it that way. Although, Winkface is right, in that a lot of the challenges seem a bit more gimmicky than they need to be.

Ah. Ok. Maybe so.

I think of "jump the shark" as something has ran it's course and it's tried the twists and turns and those are played out too. Hell I don't know . Their twists are usually pretty subtle though.

ETA: Going Google Jump the shark to educate myself for the future.

I'm more interested to see the local sites, which local chefs get on their as guest judges and such. I hope they don't ham up the "swamp" stuff.

You know Bourdain will be on a lot. NOLA is basically his favorite city.
