If the SEC wants to split the big bucks from the new network deals, they have to play less cupcake OOC opponents--simple as that.

Nothing comes free. Put up more quality games and less phony baloney OOC cupcakes, or make less from the network deals.
1) how does a 9 game SEC schedule incentivize teams to schedule better OOC teams?
2) why do they have to again? as someone mentioned earlier, it's not uncommon in the SEC to play more ranked opponents (esp highly ranked opponents) in your own division than other BCS teams play all season.
3) the networks sure do seem to really want to have access to SEC games, hence the weekly primetime slots
4) what was OSU's big time OOC game last year?

You replace a cupcake OOC with a conference game. Therefore 1 less OOC cupcake.
