Preferably the Covington Mandeville area but am really most concerned about quality. I'll drive outside of this area for quality and price. I'd like to get a couple sacks of big crawfish for a reasonable price. What have they been going for in the places that you listed?

I have had them from a bunch of places, but they are never very consistent. I've had sacks of big, clean monsters from Rouses and then gone back a couple weeks later and got small, dirty, shitty ones. Same thing with Mandeville Seafood and Johnny Joyce. The only place in Mandeville that has CONSISTENT big, clean crawfish is French Market on 190/Florida in Old Mandeville.

They cost more, but I have yet to get a "bad sack" from them when I get the large/selects. Now, early in the season, when they are still expensive, I've gotten the smalls to save a few bucks and I've gotten a couple of bad sacks, on occasion.

But when you get the larges, they are almost always big and clean. If you tell them you really need a good sack of nice big ones and they are not too busy, they'll pick out a good one for you.

Call them for a price. 2 weeks ago, large were $1.89/lb but I'm sure it's dropped since then...
