We don't really have the weapons to make up for losing him right now.

This is also why I said no. God knows we need def. help. He also knows we are a off. minded team. JG is our most dynamic player. And even when he is not being targeted by Brees I have to believe he is pulling def. to him to free up other players.
There is not a player on the def. side i would trade him for.
Hells bells its possible that he has not even peaked yet.

Objectively Graham is a GREAT player. If we had a chance to get Willis, Von Miller or Watts (Not taking Nahgta because he's older, that's how good Graham is) then you have to take that deal.

We can still pass and run without Graham. Brees is the straw that stirs the drink on offense. We haven't had that guy on defense since Vilma and Sharper. We need one of those guys.

Offensive minded team, offensive minded coach, offensive minded league. Throughout the playoffs basically every game had scores in the high 20s and 30s. Jimmy Graham drawing coverage and creating mismatches is going to have SIGNIFICANTLY more of an impact on the totality of the game than JJ Watt or Aldon Smith (who didn't do jack after Justin Smith went down)will.

Again the patriots put up 41 points on JJ Watt and a better surrounding cast than he had here. They put those numbers up partly because the rules favor good offenses over defenses and partly because the Texans didn't have the firepower to keep up. Brees is a masterful qb but there is NO WAY you can expect to level the playing field with marginal offensive tackles and no elite weapons to throw to. It's absolutely arrogant as hell to think he can keep up with the Brady, Manning, Rodgers of the world with inferior OTs, inferior wide receivers, and inferior TEs.
