So if 247 altered their prediction from 54-46 LSU to 51-49 Alabama -- a mere 5 percentage points -- they would have no clue about recruiting either?

WTF does that have to do with what I said? Yeah because ESPN has such a great track record of recruiting coverage excellence. I used 247 to illustrate the fact that it's close. It could go either way but to simply say a prospect's selection of a Spring Game is the reason for a prediction when other variables are present, such as coaching changes versus coaches that a prospect has known for years, is stupid. Maybe thats why you follow....
