By any objective measure, it's inexplicable how a "flagship" station like 870 -- which the games of two major league franchises on its schedule, and which is the NOLA home of LSU sports, and which presumably has the resources commensurate with its standing in the sports/talk radio arena in this area -- cannot or will not upgrade its on-air talent.

It's one thing to have one or two barely intelligible guys with "local color" involved in your broadcasts, as long as you have a competent straight guy. But to have two of them as the centerpiece of your highest profile daily show ... well, that's a joke.

No hyperbole here -- I refuse to listen to 870 sports unless it's a game. That's it. That is my message to the station's management.
