The Alabama game which convinced Bear Bryant to retire afterwards.

December 5, 1970 LSU 61 Ole Ms 17

This ... held Bama's vaunted option attack to something like 20 yards total offense in the first half.

Well if i was going to say last year, i would definitely say the A&M game
Not really. Washington last year was absolutely dominated by LSU.

Arizona '06 is the only time i was concerned for an opposing players life. I thought Tuitama was gonna die on the field that day.
My exact thought.
You can pick a few games from 2003 too
Miami peach bowl
VT 2007

I would agree with this, but Ole Miss didn't really have a competitive team that year.

Lmao at the Arizona video

Completely acknowledge that, but LSU made them look like a D-3 school. A lifetime of Houston Nutt frustrations taken out in 3 1/2 hours.

2003 Arizona was a butt kickn

That was bad-arse not only for the defensive performance, but for the significance of the event. LSU's loss to Notre Dame in '70 was an awesome defensive performance, as was their butt whipping of the Irish the following year.

When we beat the BEAR 20 TO 10 THEY HAD 0 first downs in the first half.3 months later he died. That but kicking was to much

Three candidates immediately come to mind:
(1) The 2003 NCG. That Oklahoma squad was an offensive juggernaut during the regular season. They scored 65 on #11 Texas, 34 on #24 Missouri, 52 on #14 Oklahoma State (Miles coincidentally), and for good measure dropped 77 on hapless TAMU. The LSU defense held them to 14 and actually scored the game winning TD on Spears' INT;
(2) 2003 UGA regular season/SECCG - Well documented;
(3) LSU-VT 2007 - The LSU defense brutalized and suffocated the offense of a team which would win the ACC, appear in the Orange Bowl, and finish ranked in the top five nationally.
EDIT: 2011 regular season against Bama deserves consideration as well. The defense and special teams single-handedly won that game. Had we not embarassed ourselves in New Orleans, Reid's INT would probably live in legend as the greatest individual defensive effort in LSU history.

How soon we forget the glory that was the December 1996 Peach Bowl.

All mentioned are good. I would also put the Arizona game in 03.

everyone forgets this game with 06 coming later, but we went on the road early and beat the piss out of them
38-0 at half
they scored ona 1 yard fumble return in 4th, then a td with 5 minutes left
something like 130 of arizonas 180 yards came in the 4th quarter

I honestly believe that was the most tedious bowl game in LSU history.
I owe you an e-mail. (And how 'bout some pics of YOU in Switz. with your European cronies?)

I have not had the type of week I am proud of the last 5 days or so, but at least I have a holiday tomorrow.
Exhaustion has been getting the better of me, but I'll try to kick things back into gear next week and see what I can salvage.

And yes, that Peach Bowl had to be one of the most boring bowl games of the modern era.
