agreed. There are a lot more people who have terrific voices and are what I'd consider the epitome of an animated voice. They'd be legendary and a lot more successful financially if they'd just settle for that. Caliendo comes to mind when I think about this for sure.
and to kind of fall along these lines, I was watching the A-team (movie) on FX again the other day and noticed the bad guy "Pike" played by Brian Bloom. I remembered his face because he was in "Once Upon a Time in America" in 1984 and he has one of those faces that's the exact same when he's 50 as it was when he was 10. Anyway, I IMDB'd him to see where the frick he'd been for the past 30 years and he's straight made a living on doing video game voices. Period.
ETA: and it's a voice that everyone knows. I mean if you've played pretty much any game in the past decade, there's a 200% chance you've heard his voice a million times.
