Might add that I don't necessarily believe it. Exodus is hard to beat, but Peter did write the vast majority of their music until he and Bunny quit.

Bunny and Peter split by 1974, but Bob carried on and referred to his backing band and vocalists as "the Wailers". After Bunny and Peter left Bob still had:
Natty Dread
Rastaman Vibration
Exodus
Kaya
Survival
Uprising and
Confrontation
left to record. Don't get me wrong, I love Peter and Bunny, but that body of work right there transcends what the three of them did together.
ETA: in my OP I refer to The Wailers (capital T), meaning Peter, Bunny, and Bob.
