I like it because knowing everything that is happening isn't very exciting.

Agreed. I love how Arya said she was a witch . And what she said is a lot of foreshadowing.

It gives us a glimpse into Arya's future that we may not have seen in the books... Pretty cool

Well it's pretty clear that we're not getting Edric Storm. Gendry is going to have to take place of that since he's the only known bastard with king's blood left. Melisandre was going to have to retrieve Gendry so that was going to require her meeting up with them to do so.
I liked the interaction with her and Arya. The foreshadowing to her time with the Faceless Men is great setup. Arya calling Melisandre out as a witch is great.
I don't know why someone wouldn't like the departure.

We can finally put to rest that awful Jeyne Poole Arya switch rumor.
Thank the merciful Mother.
Do we get to see Sam Slayer? Or is it just going to be Coldhands he meets?

I feel bad for the guy who is going to have to explain to Arya that she needs to drop a few lbs.

She saw blue, green, and brown eyes in Arya. Faceless man.

I thought we would meet Coldhands this episode. Although, based on the camera angle, didn't it make it seem like Sam and Gilly were being watched?

I think we do with the foreshadowing of the obsidian.

That definitely made me think we would see sam slaying this episode

That was what I was hoping for. Would have been an awesome "boom" to open the episode.
I don't remember Meera and Osha being adversaries in the book. Was that a departure? If so, why?

Is that Daaaariooooooo in the preview for next episode? Where's da blue hair?

Really liked this episode as well. Not as good as the last two, but both of those were top 3 episodes. More evaluated thoughts:
-Kinda disappointed by Luthor Frey's looks. Always imagined him to look like Benjamin Linus.
-Arya and Melisandre facing off was fricking awesome. If there's anyone who wouldn't see eye-to-eye with Melisandre in the series, its Arya, which makes it that much better when she faces off with Jon Snow. I am curious though about the "we will meet again". Is that an illlusion to the fake Arya being Ramsay's wife, that they're changing up things in season 4 for Arya to run into her again, or if the writers have info from GRRM that indicates Arya and Melisandre will meet in the books.
I am a bit disappointed that the episode didn't end with Arya being abducted by the Hound. Hopefully next episode he comes to the Brothers asking for his horse to be knighted and abducts Arya in the end. I really want the ferry scene to happen where the Hound offers the ferrymen gold on the north shore or steel on the south.
-I'm still not feeling Ramsay. He's a fine psychopath, and I really liked the scene, but I had some problems. First of all, Theon should have known from the start absolutely where he was. Its like being in a.... I can't think of anything more obvious as far as a cultural and symbolic standpoint is concerned. Should be pretty damn obvious. Its like being caught by the Spanish Inquisition.
Secondly, I imagined Ramsay as much bigger and more intimidating. He's just Joffrey with balls (a good thing really). As far as a voice I imagined him with, I imagined him as having a hybrid of Voldemort's and Gothmog's voice from "Return of the King" (the orc missing an eye). He's good, but not how I imagined reading him.
-The climb was well done, and was very tense. It makes me sad to know that Jon and Yigrette aren't going to last.
-I really like who they chose for the Queen of Thorns. She's just great. Also not quite how I imagined her, but she does it incredibly. Takes alot of balls to call out Tywin Lannister to his face. Only other person who has done it in the series is Tyrion himself.
-I really liked Cersei and Tyrion bonding on how fricked they both were in this situation. Can definitely identify from my youth as that being the only time my sister and I really bonded is when we were both being screwed over.
-Another one of my favorite scenes ever, Varys and Littlefinger. Such gold. What a way for Ros to go out, and more solidification on how much Littlefinger can control Joffrey where everyone else fails. That speech sent chills down my spine. Great end, even though I wanted it to end with Arya being abducted.

That's how I interpreted it as well. I also liked the backstory behind Thoros' purpose for being at Robert's court. Who is the high priest Melisandre mentioned? What is his role in everything?
The Freys looked exactly how I imagined them; and, god do I hate them.
The Blackfish is a badass, "the laws of my fist" line ha me cracking up.
And Olenna and Tywin's scene was frigging money. They both bring so much to the show. I'll be sorry to see their roles reduced/killed off.

I haven't gotten that far into my reread of book 3 yet, but how is it that Sansa finds out she's marrying Tyrion again? Wasn't it she was at the sept and then BAM she's married to Tyrion? She didn't know until right when it happened?
