Same advice I give everyone else, just play what you like. I was all "what do you guys need" with my friends, and they kept telling me "play whatever you think is fun". I played Black Mage with most everything and I've gotten pretty good at it, but I do want to branch out. The only one I would say is iffy on use is Lancer/Dragoon, but like I've said, that might have changed.

I thought lancer. But figured a lot would use it. I haven't seen any. What job does lancer pair well with? May create that tonight and start new with Mear. Have some minor regrets early with the Mage.

I remember Dragoons filling a strange niche in XI as well. Won't stop me from playing one, though. There are always multiple jobs per character.
