Hah. That's at least the third time this almost exact scenariory has played itself out on here. I've linked to great e-bay deals for hunting/fishing equipment only to have the OP let me know they have a gift certificate to Academy/BPS/Cabela's. I just find it amusing.
That being said, all of the reels are good and will do what you want them too. I have experience with both Shimano and Abu Garcia products, and for bass fishing and inshore fishing prefer the REVOs.
ETA: The drag on the REVOs is what really impresses me. Super smooth but can be set up to 20lbs+. If you're targeting bull reds, or even decide to venture out for mangroves, the added drag will come in handy.
