Or Mark Titus mentioning in his book that numerous OSU football players drove similar cars worth $25-30K. That is how much Thomas spent. The whole lawsuit came about because he didn't pay the $100,000. Maybe you remember the days of Brandon Bass driving a Mercedes on the LSU campus. The fact that someone spent a large amount of money or is in possession of something worth a large amount of money is not enough for the NCAA to do something. There has to be an actual paper trail for the NCAA to do something. Thomas's settlement of the lawsuit and the ensuing non-disclosure forms pretty much guaranteed that there would never be a paper trail for anything.
