Not only that, by doing it while not on a team, he has no team members, coaches, organization, or fans to "let down" or whatever word you want to use for the attention that would bring upon all of those people.

It's not fake. But the timing was very well calculated. The right thing would be to do this much earlier in your career or right after you retire. Not right when a contract runs out and it looks like your time in the NBA is up but you "hope you get another contract".

at the end of the day, they will still be gay, some people will be pro gay, some people will be anti gay, and some people will not give a frick.
