He did well running the ball from the QB position in games his freshman year. Or was he always at RB?
RB... I don't recall every play, and it wasn't many at QB, but there were several that resulted in false starts, timeouts, etc. It never looked smooth.

it's kind of his fault and very much Les's fault for making him think he would play him at QB. No, I don't believe Les ever really considered Shep a candidate for starting QB at LSU when he recruited him.
Don't have time to dig up quotes, but iirc, Shep said during his recruitment that he understood he may have to move to another position.

So now it is lsu's fault for recruiting one of the highest rated players in the country?
Whether or not it's accepted practice, I don't believe that recruiting players under false pretenses is morally acceptable.

quote:he was given the chance....hw was worse than the backups and they coaches tried to get the kid on the field as a WR he didnt do all that great at that.
I said he was a QB. He should have been a backup QB at LSU if he wasn't better than the starters.

Well that's your opinion that he was lied to which makes you horribly misinformed.
Sounds like you are trying to justify your negativity.

uway is a long-time Miles-hater, objectivity isn't their strong suit

Eh. I think Miles reassured him that he was being recruited as a QB knowing that Shep wanted to play QB, even though Miles knew that no 5'10 165' player was ever going to be his main QB. That's false pretenses to me, regardless if you want to call it a lie. I realize it happens every day, but that doesn't make it right.
btw, he did play QB some in his freshman year:

Milesenistas talking about "objectivity"

Which part is wrong?
No one can dispute that RS wasn't a natural wide receiver.
No one can dispute that our QB play was mediocre.
So is the dispute about "mediocre coaches"? Who were the WR coaches during Shep's time here? Were they better than mediocre? Did our other WRs over-perform due to the coaching they received?
I would recommend that you do some heavy reading on logic and causality.

I'm just unfairly critical of him. I don't think that makes me a hater.
Y'all are going to see when Shep is slinging balls all over the NFL how stupid Miles is. Pro-bowl for sure.

Yeahhhh, thanks for clarifying your attention to details.

Then you should stop watching sports altogether.

UGA game. nuge
And where's the logic or causality fail in the post you quoted?

I'm surprised that word is even in your vocabulary. You do understand that you are seen as about the most biased, ignorant fool on this board, right?
ETA - Go send up a bat signal for the rest of Team Lee. You need backup.

I can't make you smarter. If you can't figure that out, it's already too late.

If you are smarter than me, then you are smarter than the 99th percentile unless all of those standardized tests were lying to me to improve my self-esteem.
If you don't feel like backing up your claims, don't make them.

Aww shucks. If the omniscient uway says so, might as well stick my thumb up my arse and start blowing bubbles.

As many as he attempted.

Instead of that, you could just support your claims with evidence or reasoning.
