I want the Hobie Pro Angler with the mirage drive.

Being that it will be my first yak, I think it may be unwise to go all out before I discover if I even have the time, space, and the want to fish from one enough to make it worth my while.

What about a yak paddleboard hybrid?

Suggestions??? Feel free to try and beat my run on sentence.

I want to fish for specks, reds and even some ponds.

How much do you want to spend? The hobie pro angler is great but it's heavy as shite and almost double the price of 2 or 3 yaks that are just as good or better.

Yeah, either don't shop for one, or get used to having a finger tickling your butthole. Might want to tell your buddy to lick it before he enters

If hobie, then get an outback

If not, KC

Get a KC Kayak. Can stand or sit. Can customize as you go. Super stable

Honestly I love the new Ascend. I own a Native Redfush, but wish I had the raised seat.

I would go to a demo day or 2 and try a few yaks out. Definitely get something with a mirage or trolling motor. Trying to fish along a bank, against the wind, while paddling is very difficult.

I am not a fan of KC because of how high the sidewalls sit out of water. On a windy day they act like a sail.

Buy a paddleboard. Look at BOTE boards for ideas.
