With the level of success each of these would produce being equal, would you rather have a football team with one star player surrounded by slightly above-average talent (i.e., manziel and a&m) or a team of highly-talented players without any big names?

A team full of highly talented players so that we could actually have a shot at winning a championship.

Actually, it was Manziel who was surrounded by talent last year. But yes this year he isn't so much. Which is why he won't be as successful.

Football-very team oriented, to win you need multiple good players, possibly one or two great.
Look at the Ravens, no real great players this year, Reid was at one time, Flacco is good. Overall, a team with good palyers will win over a team built around one star.
Arizona- Fitzgerald is great, Peterson is coming into his own, but neither could make the team a winner.
I believe the Saints are an example of this. One great palyer and the rest not so much. Some good but not nearly enough.

We are far less talented now than we were then. Our stars are older and young players are less talented.
