ESPN did a 30 for 30 on agents. What I gathered from it is that the players are not financially liable to the agents at all. The agent fronts the money for training, marketing, etc, but the player isn't actually "under contract." Meaning they are free to change representation at any time with no penalty.

Ouch, that's brutal. You know he was fronted a ton of money, more than just suits.

I was an acquaintance/friend a friend type with one former LSU player and he was a late round draft pick, and I do believe he was fronted a brand new, nice Z71 truck, or some similar truck, it was 15 years ago.
