Anyone got one of these? Review? Been thinking about getting one. Drink a lot of carbonated water to try to stay away from soda, be nice to try and save a little money and make my own carbonated water.

My dad uses it. It never gets as carbonated as something you'd buy from a can/bottle. And he's got the cartridges all over the bar.

I bought one, used it for about a week. Now it's in a cabinet not being used. Don't waste your money

Their drink syrups taste HORRIBLE. I don't have a SodaStream, but I have used their products with a homemade carbonator. I also see a bunch of them at garage sales, so a lot of owners are dumping them.

We got one and use the shite out of it. They have lots of flavors that you otherwise would never find. Plus the kids like to do it. Get an extra cylinder. BB&B exchanges cylinders for 15 bucks when they run out.

Because I like soda water, I have a homemade system similar to this.
Here is a link on how to set one up:

It costs a little more initially (about $160), but you're not tied into buying expensive SodaStream refills. With my 20 lb tank, I can fill it at a welding supply place for $11. That fill will last for 1000 liters.

That's pretty awesome, never thought going diy. May go that route.
Seriously, why was this anchored? Is this not food and drink related enough?

If I had to do it over again, I would buy a smaller tank, probably a 5 lb. It would be easier to carry & store.
Once you have this setup, it would be easy to adapt it to kegerator use or a home soft drink fountain.

Got all the stuff off Amazon for $140, 5lb tank and in/out gauges on the regulator. The Sodastream I was looking at was $200 for 3 bottles and 3 cartridges. Can't wait to try it.

Why don't you start a new thread about this. I think some admin might have though you were trying to sell SodaStreams.
