What is a reasonable number of teams to have before quality of play falls off dramatically?

the amount of people playing basketball has increased exponentially since the 70s and 80s.

The talent drain isn't b/c there are too many NBA teams, its b/c there are now legitimate options overseas that can pay more for guys who would be strong bench players here.

Dump the cap and institute full revenue sharing across the board and that can be mitigated.

If they start counting teams' local TV contracts into that revenue, we'll talk.

The TV contracts that teams like the Lake Show and Knicks have are insane and gives them a greater margin for error when overpaying for talent.

100% disagree. The NBA is a diluted product that has way too many franchises.
