quote:

“He’s such a tough guy,” Carroll said of Ware. “We really liked his nature and the way he brings it. We’re expecting him to fit into a number of different areas — special teams, as well. A real hard-nosed football player, so I think he really fits the style.”

“He’ll work as a fullback but we know he can carry the football. We want to make sure to bring him along there. But the fact that he can swing really helps us. … He catches the ball really well, also, so we’re hoping that we can groom him as a fullback that can play tailback.”

Also, from nfl.com, on Christine Michael:

quote:

Not often targeted in the passing game, must prove he can be a reliable receiver. Whiffs too often when trying to land a punch in pass protection, and gets pushed back too easily when man-up.

I think Ware was our most complete RB. He runs hard and has a great set of hands. I don't get ESPN saying he has to prove himself as a reliable receiver. I don't recall him dropping one pass in his time at LSU.

Best of luck to you Spencer and I hope you get a lot of touches as a RB or a swing receiver.
