Say wut? People say it all the time. I respect the fact you are raising your kids up right, but dude many many people says it to each other all the time. Unless you mean in a derogatory manner, then I understand your point...
I know. The word is everywhere from music to television. It has lost its impact of what it meant and stood for over the years because young white Americans quote it from their favorite rap songs. But the way it was supposedly said to Hill isn't the same as quoting a rap song. That is straight up racist.
I'm not the type of black man to go around crying racism on everything, but some people need to watch who they call that word because everyone doesn't take it the same.
As for Jeremy Hill, if he's wrong he should be punished. Whatever agreement he had with Les and his PO was broken, he should be dealt with accordingly. He shouldn't get any preferential treatment because he is the teams leading rusher. All I'm saying is he reacted the way many black men would while being called that word. The fricked up part about it is its a double standard because black people call each other that, but gets pissed when every other race say it. Stop using that ignorant word all together IMO.

Amongst the jibber jabber. I stand by my previous statement.

I'm a strong advocate in disagreement of this.

And Hill is hands down in the wrong IMO. It's just a generic insult. It is no more justification to engage in violence than any other generic insult. I hate that people so often regurgitate this nonsense that this one magical word, for this one particular ethnicity, is so unique and taboo that it morally justifies any violent actions taken as a result even if the person is still legally charged. It is utterly illogical and nonsensical.
This situation is no different than someone opening their mouth in an insulting and provocative way and getting their arse kicked as a result. It's really no more or less. Did the guy ask for it? Yes. But if everybody went around punching everybody who "asked for it" it would be an Irish Pub 24/7 when you are out and about.
That being said, whoever came up with this notion that you treat your stars the same way as the scrubs is a moron. And the fact that this situation seems to be something that is rather minor for young men, a fight after someone provoked him with words, I don't see it warranting harsh punishment in terms of game suspensions. But that's just me...
