There is no overlap on license. If you buy June 10th, you would have to decide if you want the 2012-2013 license where you could only fish for 20 days or buy the 2013-2014 license where you can start legally fishing on July 1st through June 30th of 2014.
Buying next year's license a few weeks prior to July 1st does not give you legal rights to fish prior to that date.
